`Kiran Chandra has been working in the IT sector for more than 23 years and is a passionate leader and supporter of the free software movement in India. He aims to build a more inclusive, democratic, and sustainable IT ecosystem in India, where everyone can access, use, and share knowledge and technology openly. In this respect, he contributed to the creation of the first Telugu operating system, font and glossary and ideated Swecha Chandamama Kathalu – the first AI Telugu storytelling assistant. He is the Chairman of Swecha, a non-profit organization that makes FOSS solutions for social and economic development, General Secretary of the Free Software Movement of India (FSMI), and acts as the President of the Forum of IT Professionals (ForIT), a platform for IT workers to voice their concerns and demands
